After sustaining multiple injuries to an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan and losing both of his legs, Hari wants to fulfil his lifetime dream and climb Mount Everest. Sounds surreal? But not for Hari.

Hari is Nepalese veteran soldier, who served in the British Army with the Royal Ghurka Rifles since the age of 19 and has been medically discharged after losing both legs above the knee in Afghanistan in April 2010.

Since then, Hari's life and mindset changed dramatically. During these seven years Hari became sky diver, re-learned alpine skiing, kayaking and rock climbing, joined a wheelchair rugby and basketball teams.

Hari won gold medal in Archery and a bronze medal in wheelchair table tennis, while also participated in different road cyclings to raise funds for disabled veterans and pets.

Hari says : "Other people don't create opportunities for you, you have to create them yourself. By doing that, you not only going to benefit yourself, but you will be able to make a huge difference for the whole society."

He thought about making his new career in sports but decided to try to make a difference in the community instead.

At the moment, most of Hari's time and effort is aimed towards training and preparing for the climb, which is set for spring 2018.
